Clean-Up and Recycle Week 2025

September 15th-20th is Clean-Up and Recycle Week in South Africa – a time to roll up our sleeves, step outside, and act for the beautiful spaces we share. At Plant the Seed, we know that big change starts with small, simple actions carried out by everyday people. This week is the perfect opportunity to show up for our rivers, beaches, and communities. And luckily, some incredible local events are happening right here in Cape Town where you can get involved.

Participation > Perfection

These events are open invitations to connect with people who care about the same things you do – cleaner oceans, healthier rivers, and communities. Whether it’s pulling plastic out of a river, tidying up a skate park, or walking the beach with a bag in hand, your participation matters, and the impacts are felt.

Clean-Up and Recycle Week isn’t about perfection; it’s about participation. Every bottle, wrapper, and piece of waste that doesn’t end up in our oceans or on our streets is a win. By showing up, you’re planting the seed for a cleaner, more conscious South Africa.

So, grab a friend, pick an event, and be part of the movement. Together, we can turn waste into opportunity and show what’s possible when communities activate themselves.
