Plant the Seed is a learning partner to schools, providing support in co-creating a culture of leadership, sustainability and innovation for nurturing young citizens who are conscious, connected and courageous custodians for our future world. We aim to prepare learners to
engage with a rapidly changing and complex world by providing unique experiences outside the classroom. We offer schools the opportunity to partake in various 1-day/after school programmes which engage learners in holistic, contextualized, real-world experiences of equality, sustainability, innovation and forward thinking.

One- day during school programme 08:00 – 14:00 (5 hours)
Three- day after school programme 14:00 – 17:00 (6 hours)
Six experiential workshops are implemented in both.

Reinvent

This is our dynamic flagship programme. It enlightens young minds around how to be water and eco-wise, energy efficient and turn trash into treasure. Our practical approach allows them to get their hands dirty as they creatively learn how to make their homes and schools more and sustainable.

Solutionary

This programme is one of our latest additions. Using project-based learning and design thinking methodologies, learners become creative porblem solvers, critical and system thinkers. Learners engage in real-world issues through business and entrepreneurship that promotes people, planet and profit.

Further Information
This programme investigates business responses to the challenges and opportunities presented by sustainability and the manifestations of social & sustainable enterprise, with special emphasis on developing country contexts, particularly South Africa. An overarching question is what role, if any, can enterprise play in the transition toward a green economy.
